This is another question that plays on my mind. Letting people enter for free would risk running it at a loss. I would expect that the two main sponsors would fund the majority of the overall cost which we'll say about two thirds but the final third would have be split between the local businesses that would be given the chance to offer their produce to the public which promotes their businesses and the general public. I think that the event should run as non profit event which should state that all profits will be donated to a chosen charity.
All the businesses would benefit from this but what would the public gain? Well they would be able to sample all sorts of Asian cuisines from astound the world which have been produced right on their doorsteps, but is that really enough? I would have to say no, their would have to be some sort of itinerary of entertainment planned through out the day an dingo the night to keep the public engaged and so they feel like they walk away satisfied.
I just keep on opening new doors every piece of research I do.
